about 37S ranch

Hi! My name is Megan Vanderpol, former owner of Cedar Point Rabbitry and Northern Springs Farm. With 13 years of homesteading experience – albeit in a very cold, very northern climate of Canada 😉 – I’m excited to now give the tropics a try. Specifically – Belize, Central America.

I love reading good books, growing lovely things, and raising happy animals. Growing healthy food, milk, and meat for my family is a wonderful lifestyle and I love it.

“Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness.
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

Psalm 37:3-4

about 37s ranch

In late 2020, my family and I made the life-changing decision to leave Canada and move to Belize. After a year and a half of getting ready to move, including 5 months of travelling, challenges, and new friends, we arrived in Belize in February of 2022.

We had sold our successful, sustainable homestead in Canada. A homestead that was complete with milk cows, beef cows, goats, horses, pigs, chickens, greenhouse, gardens, herbs, orchard, pond, creek, and more. 21 beautiful acres that we had poured our hearts into for 13 years.

Now we’re starting over. But not starting from scratch, starting with experience. The goal is to create a beautiful, functional, sustainable home again – come along on the journey as we start a brand new homestead!

This should be an adventure 🙂 Welcome aboard!
